Case study · Procurement · Hong Kong

An old, slow website, rebuilt to win buyers’ trust.

Golden Leverage is a procurement office in Hong Kong. International buyers pay it to find suppliers in China and Southeast Asia and to follow their orders. Its website had to look as reliable as the service, so we rebuilt it.

Before and after

What we changed.

Before

  • The home page took 5.9 seconds to show its main content.
  • Other languages came from an automatic translation widget.
  • Forms used the plugin’s default look, with no links to any terms.
  • The “Track” button led to an error page.
  • No privacy policy or terms written for the business.

After

  • A new design and header, with page caching to load faster.
  • Real pages in seven languages: English, French, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, German and Russian.
  • 49 forms in the brand’s colours, with terms and privacy links in each language.
  • A working tracking page where clients follow their order.
  • A privacy policy and terms written for a procurement agent in Hong Kong.
The new website

Built for buyers who order sight unseen.

A buyer in Europe or the Middle East decides in minutes whether to trust an office on the other side of the world. The site shows the process, the services with prices, and how to pay and follow an order.

How a request works now

From the first form to delivery.

  1. 1

    The buyer writes in

They fill in a short form or pay an invoice online, in their own language.

  2. 2

    The team is notified

Every request arrives by email, so nothing waits in an inbox nobody checks.

  3. 3

    A tracking code

The paid invoice’s reference becomes the client’s tracking code.

  4. 4

    One screen to update

The team moves each order to its next stage from a single screen in WordPress.

  5. 5

    The buyer follows it

The client sees the stage, a progress bar and the history, in their language.
